We received so much interest in our June and July sessions of Hello Code, we are excited to announce a new August session of Hello Code! Hello Code is a month-long program for adults interested in learning the internet’s building blocks. You should apply to Hello Code if you are serious about learning to code and live in the Omaha metro area.

Each session of Hello Code will consist of four, weekly, in-person meetings. These meetings are required and will take place Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Between each meeting, you will complete learning exercises on CodeSchool.com. Code School courses require at least 3-6 hours per week of work on your own. Each week may require more or less work depending on the material.

Who is Hello Code for?
We are looking for twenty people who will be committed to and benefit from learning HTML and CSS. Whether you are interested in changing careers, contributing to community projects, or enhancing your existing job skills, learning computer programming can improve your ability to connect with other people. Hello Code is designed for beginners without a background in coding.

Tell Us Why You Want to Learn to Code!
When filling out the Hello Code application, you will be asked to write one paragraph detailing why you want to learn to code. This is your chance to really shine! We want to create an inclusive and diverse group of participants so make sure you tell us what makes you unique, how learning to code will change your life, and how you would contribute to a vibrant learning atmosphere.

What Do I Need?
You’ll need a Do Space membership, email address, way to access the internet – whether that’s at Do Space, your home, or somewhere else – and the time to learn online and at our meetups.

What Does it Cost?
Nothing! Like all Do Space programs, Hello Code is 100% FREE.
