Women Innovators Fellowship Showcase

Last year, Do Space issued a challenge to the community: Omaha women are underrepresented in technical roles, and they are underrepresented in business. What’s your big idea to change Omaha for the better?
The 2019 Do Space Women Innovators Fellowship is a competitive, 6-month experience that has challenged three Fellows to develop new resources and tools to promote the advancement of women technologists and tech entrepreneurs in Omaha. Our all-female Advisory Board of Omaha leaders in business and technology has provided each Fellow with advice, connections, and mentorship. This unique opportunity has been generously sponsored by Dr. James and Karen Linder.
Our Fellows are ready to share their final projects with the Omaha community at a free showcase on Wednesday, July 31st at 5:30 p.m.:
Carina Glover – HerHeadquarters is a mobile app that will empower Omaha women entrepreneurs to collaborate with peers in LA, NYC, Miami, and beyond.
Bianca Zongrone Jefferson – Why do women choose to stay in or leave tech majors and careers? This local research study will help universities and employers retain diverse tech talent.
April Goettle – remoter.tech is a resource website and job board that will promote remote tech work to local talent and employers in Omaha and nearby rural areas.
Refreshments provided. Parking is free and readily available on the Do Space lot with additional event parking next door at U.S. Bank.
