Summer is quickly approaching which means finding fun, engaging, and hopefully educational activities for the kiddos when school ends. Look no further than Do Space! Do Space has free programming all year long but we’ll have even more throughout June and July which will keep kids’ minds fresh and sharp, helping prevent the dreaded summer slide!

On top of our usual youth program like Kid Coders, Junior Makers, Littles Lab, and Make. Hack.Build, there will be even more programs on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons called Tech Safari programs. Test run some of our most popular robots to code and battle at Robot Rumble. Try out coding with your favorite characters like Minecraft Steve, BB-8, and Frozen’s Anna and Elsa with Afternoon of Code.  Design and “draw” a pin wheel with our 3D Doodler pens.  And learn about circuits and make a fun light-up robot pin in Wearable Tech. You can drop in (no registration required) any time between 1:00-2:30 and all of these programs are great for kids ages 6 and up!

We will also have Summer Workshops every other Friday in June and July! Learn what a pixel is by making pixel art and learn to use a pocket-sized computer called a Micro:bit to program a robot, just to name a few. Summer workshops are for ages 8-14, run from 1:00-2:30, and do require registration.

All of our summer programs will earn you one of our Summer Passport stamps. Start earning your stamps at the Do Space Summer Kickoff on Saturday, June 1st, from 1:00-3:00pm.

Join us for the summer by checking out and registering for programs on our calendar. And when school is out, Do Space is in!  A summer spent with Do Space is a summer of learning so plan on fun, engaging, and brain-building activities.

Don’t miss our ‘Summer Kick-Off’ June 1st at 1pm – 3pm. More details at our Facebook Event, click here!
