Kim Morrow, Chief Sustainability Officer at the City of Lincoln

About Kim:
As Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Lincoln, Kim is working to transition the community to a climate-smart and equitable future. She leads a team of three in implementing a broad range of strategies to reduce emissions and increase climate resilience. In her previous role as a sustainability consultant, she was the chief architect of the City’s 2021 Climate Action Plan, the first of its kind in Nebraska.

What Kim Will Cover at the Sustainability Summit:
The City of Lincoln was the first city in Nebraska to adopt a Climate Action Plan in 2021. Recently, Lincoln worked with the Nebraska Department of Energy and Environment to update its plan through an EPA Climate Pollution and Reduction Grant program. In this session you’ll learn about Lincoln’s progress in implementing its plan, including work on local food, biochar, heat pump incentives, clean energy workforce development, and more.
