Launching Our Summer Passport with a Kick-Off Party!

You’re invited to kick off Do Space In Motion!

Help us kick off our Summer Passport program with this tech-tacular Kick-Off party for Do Space In Motion! Geared toward kids ages 6-12, our Summer Passport is designed to help kids explore different areas of STEAM, with drop-in events, take and make kits, VR Thursdays, and, of course, our Kick-Off extravaganza!

Join us Saturday, June 4th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm as we officially launch Do Space In Motion. Make your way around the activity stations inside and outside the building!

PASSPORT PAPER CIRCUITS
Start here to get your Summer Passport and bring it to life with a mini circuit! You can power up your Passport with conductive tape and LEDs!

VIRTUAL REALITY HEADSETS
Experience rock climbing…without ever leaving the floor! Spend a few minutes scaling peaks with Do Space’s virtual reality system!

3D DOODLERS
Create your own summer-fun keepsake with 3D pens! Design your own, or use one of our stencils to draw and build your creation with a 3Doodler!

FINCH ROBOTS
Experiment with coding as you guide the Finch robots through mini obstacle courses!

Head Outside to the Made New Mobile Makerspace

Head out to the west parking lot, where the Made New Makerspace truck will have more stations set up!

BUTTON PRESS
Bring on the bling! Design your own flair, then learn to print and assemble it into a button!

LASER-ETCHED LICENSE PLATES
Engrave miniature license plates using a laser cutter!

ROBOT RACES
Pit different types of robots against each other and see which one comes out on top!

After the Kick-Off, head over to Beanstack and register for your digital passport. Track your participation as you join us for our drop-ins on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 1:00pm and 2:30pm (the drop-in project from Tuesday will repeat on Thursday), complete a take and make (while supplies last), or attend any of our regularly-scheduled children’s classes in our calendar, like Make It! and VR-Room Thursdays (space is limited; registration is required). Your digital passport on Beanstack is where you will keep track of all of your completed Summer Passport Program activities. With each activity you complete, you will earn 100 points. The more points you earn, the more prizes you will win! Between June 4th and August 30th, you may redeem your points for prizes by showing us your prize badge at Do Space. Prizes may be claimed all at once or individually.

Summer Passports will be available at Do Space throughout the summer. A paper passport is not required to track your activities on Beanstack.
