COVID-19 was a big game changer; it turned everything on its head, making us change everything in ways we never thought we’d experience in our lifetime. As the USA is slowly starting to start business back up, there are a myriad of emotions that will come with coming back and it’s okay and normal to feel these things.

Returning to work for the first time in over two months, several emotions go through a person’s head: gratitude, anxiety, sadness, calm, readjustment, reflecting, and so on. It’s okay to feel that way when coming after being away for so long.

It’s also okay to feel uncertain after not only a long amount of time, but making sure that your workplace is safe for everyone. Talking with coworkers and managers about these concerns is okay; it’s normal to feel nervous about what’s next and expressing these feelings are key to making everything be more like normal.
