Do Space provides access to cutting-edge technology for the public to use. But in the spirit of April Fools’ Day, we wondered: what if we provided access to not-so-cutting-edge technology for one day? We imagined what pieces of technology might have inhabited Do Space if we had been open twenty or thirty years ago and started planning our Old School April Fool event.
Our technology “Petting Zoo” has classic Apple computers, typewriters, record players, 8 track and VHS tapes, and disks that hold as much as a hundred megabytes!  We also set up a temporary arcade complete with Atari game systems and computers where you can play other early video games like Oregon Trail and Zork I: The Great Underground Empire.
The selfie station–where you can grab a picture with a young Steve Jobs and Bill Gates–is a must visit. And keep an eye out for retro decorations! The space and staff have some blasts from the past planned including refreshments!
Come down to celebrate April Fools’ Day with some Old School fun in one of Omaha’s newest technology center.
