Hour of Code at Do Space
November 25th, 2016 | Caitlin Lombardo, Community Learning Specialist
Have you ever wanted to learn how to code? Do Space will be hosting an Hour of Code event–and you’re invited!
Hour of Code is a global movement that reaches millions of students in over 180 countries each year. Anyone can participate by completing a one hour tutorial in coding – and more than that, you’ll be learning to code in a fun, exciting way! Code.org sponsors the event and offers plenty of ways to engage, offering tutorials with themes like Minecraft, Star Wars, and even the new Disney movie, Moana.
And Hour of Code isn’t just for kids! Parents and other adults are encouraged to participate. Bring your own laptop or tablet, or take advantage of the mobile devices provided by Do Space during the event.
Do Space’s Hour of Code will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 1pm to 2:30pm. The first 30 minutes will be set aside for getting logged in and helping participants get started. The Hour starts at 1:30pm.
