Excel-erate

Increase your Microsoft Excel skills for FREE with Do Space! Excel-erate is a six-week course for anyone interested in the skills necessary to create spreadsheets following current professional and industry standards.

Do Space created the Excel-erate program to develop Microsoft Excel talent among those changing careers and re-entering the workforce. One study by Capital One and Burning Glass Technologies revealed that not only are such skills required for the vast majority (82%) of middle-skill positions, proficiency in using productivity software also provides a pathway to high-paying jobs for workers without a college degree.

This bootcamp will introduce the basic features of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet concepts to design and create accurate, professional worksheets for use in business, industry, and academic environments. After completion of the bootcamp, participants will have acquired Excel skills ranging from beginner to advanced levels. These skills include, but are not limited to: execution of common functions, maintaining a large data set in a list or a table, and an introduction into dynamic formulas and reports such as VLOOKUP and PivotTable. All sessions of Excel-erate will be online via Zoom. You will need a computer, internet access, and Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer to attend.

Excel-erate will be held Tuesdays from 11am-1pm starting on January 14th and will run through February 18th. Applications close on Friday, January 3rd.
