Mystery Code Society

Do Space has partnered with Mystery Code Society to bring coding and game development classes to students in grades 6-12 who identify as femme or female. This includes students who were not assigned female at birth and those who identify as femme, gender fluid, or gender non‐conforming.

Applications are now open for our 12-week Sugar Cubed game development course where students will learn about game design principles, such as game objects, sprites, inputs, physics, and the camera, as well as software engineering principles like events, conditionals, and functions.

Previous JavaScript experience is required to take this course.

This 12 week course meets at Do Space on Sundays from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, from January 12 – March 29. This application deadline is Thursday, January 2nd.

Additionally in October 2020, we are holding another six-week JavaScript course where students will learn code fundamentals including variables, conditionals, methods, loops, and objects and events.

Participants do NOT need prior coding experience OR a computer of their own to take this class. More information on this course will be available soon.
