Do Space is excited to announce that we have moved to a new location in preparation for construction to begin on the Central Library project at 72nd and Dodge. We are excited to co-locate with the Abrahams library location near 90th and Fort. Our new location allows us to continue offering innovative programs and services while expanding our impact in the Omaha community. We also have new technology and programs that are designed to meet the diverse needs of our community.

We offer technology and computer classes, as well as our tech support services. Our 3D Lab, which includes 3D printers, laser cutters, embroidery machines, and more, is also available for use. Additionally, we have expanded our services to include a podcasting space, dedicated graphic design computers, and resources for sustainability.

3D Lab

Our state-of-the-art 3D Lab is a makerspace where creativity meets technology in the most cutting-edge way. Our lab is a haven for makers, innovators, and sustainability enthusiasts. With a variety of advanced 3D printing technology and software, we empower the community to bring their ideas to life and make a lasting impact. New additions to the 3D lab at Abrahams include:

  • 3D scanner- Capture real-world objects and transform them into digital models
  • Embroidery machine- Add intricate and personalized designs to various materials
  • Sublimation and pigment printers- Create vibrant, long-lasting prints on textiles, mugs, and more
  • Technology repair station- Breathe new life into your devices and reduce electronic waste

Active Learning Lab

Our active learning lab is a dynamic and flexible space designed to foster innovation, creativity, and lifelong learning for the whole family. Embark on virtual reality adventures such as flying like a bird or climbing the tallest mountain, challenge your friends as you dive into the latest releases on our gaming systems, access a desktop computer for work, or unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills with our tech kits available for all ages.

Podcast Studio

Check out our new podcast studio, where your voice comes to life! Whether you’re a seasoned podcaster or just starting out, our studio provides the ideal environment for capturing high-quality audio and creating engaging content. The Podcasting Studio is equipped with proper soundproofing and the tools necessary to record your own podcast. The studio includes all of the technology that you will need, along with Audacity and ProTools software for recording and editing. The studio is free to book.

Computer Lab

Our computer lab includes 17 desktop computers, including both Macs and PCs, and a variety of software such as Microsoft Office, 3D printing design software, Minecraft, and more. All you need to log into a Do Space computer is your membership number. If you don’t have a membership quite yet, sign up for one for FREE here and pick up your card next time you are in.

Design Studio

Our Design Studio is a state-of-the-art space that is designed to help creative professionals, students, and hobbyists unleash their creativity and produce high-quality designs. The Design Studio has eight computers, each with the latest Adobe software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro, and more.

Yes! Your Do Space card will still work, and there is no need to sign up for a new one. If you are not yet a member, you can sign up for a free membership here

Meeting rooms are available to book through the Omaha Public Library. Click here to reserve a meeting room.

Do Space classes will be held at Abrahams library and different locations throughout the Omaha community. Check out our calendar for more information.

No, you do not need an OPL card to use Do Space equipment and services.
