This November marks our third year serving the Omaha community and we want to celebrate with prizes, refreshments, and activities for the whole family!  Our open house will be held on Thursday, November 8th and will run from 4:30-6:30 PM.

This special event will feature hands on interactive learning opportunities along with other innovative activities promoting technology, learning, and fun. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our space, meet our wonderful staff, and have fun using technology.

We will be hosting the following activities:

  • Tech Kit Sandbox – Located in Meeting Rooms 1 & 2, volunteers will be available to assist guests experimenting with our tech activity kits. These are normally available to hack on your own, but we will have volunteers who will be nearby to help. Plus, no checkouts needed!
  • Virtual Reality Demos – Located in the Active Learning Lab, try out the latest in video game technology with the HTC Vive! We will be playing BeatSaber, a rhythm game where you use lightsabers to chop notes in half.
  • 3D Lab Showcase – We’ll feature the work of some of our 3D Lab enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to share their creations with the community.  They will explain their creative process and answer any questions you might have.

Don’t forget to enter into the prize drawing! There will be a different prize for kids and adults: a 3Doodler Start or a pair of noise cancelling headphones. We will also be handing out Eileen’s Cookies and everyone receives a universal charger bracelet! We can’t wait to see you Thursday, November 8th!
