Meet Katie Danger with GamerGirl Gameboy Mods

Introduce Yourself! – Who are you, and what does your organization do?

I make unique, one-of-a-kind Gameboy mods! All units are assembled by me in Omaha, NE. Choose from my pre-made premiere selection, or create your own custom masterpiece! I aim to please! My Instagram is the best place to learn about me quickly: @GamerGirlGameboyMods.

What do you make?

Custom, made-to-order Gameboy consoles. I also repair small handheld gaming devices!

What are you planning to show at Make Omaha?

I will be modding a Gameboy live in person, breaking down the components from start to finish. I will also have retro Gameboys on display and a few games to play for visitors of my booth. AND ALSO a Gameboy Camera and printer set up, so visitors to my booth can take their picture on a gameboy camera and have it printed to a small piece of paper they can keep with them!

What are you looking forward to seeing at Make Omaha from other participants?

Learning more about electronics and other makers. I feel the best way to learn is to see what others are doing and see if they have solutions to your problems or solutions you didn’t even know you needed!

What tech/maker-type stuff are you interested in getting in the future?

A UV Printer to help with custom-printed Gameboy shells. Many of my customers have unique designs in mind, but there are no local UV printing options in Omaha!

Anything else you’d like to add?

I am so excited!

Come see Katie and all our other makers at Make Omaha on Saturday, October 8th from 10am – 3pm!
