Meet David: Disaster-Preparedness Consultant and Do Space Member

In the spirit of the “Humans of New York” photo series and social media phenomenon, Do Space is inspired to work with staff and volunteers to create a “Humans of Do Space” series that shares the stories of our members, volunteers, users, and staff. The goal of this effort it to capture the people that are using the space and how it affects their lives. What does it allow them to do? What does it allow them to make? How are people using the space to overcome obstacles and get things done?
Today we are pleased to introduce you to David Duncan. David is originally from Pilger, Nebraska but currently lives here in Omaha helping to inform and prepare people for disaster. He is passionate about teaching and showing people not only how to prepare themselves for when disaster strikes, but also how to be ready and know where to go.
What does Do Space mean to you?
Do Space means a place to work with new and up and coming tech that I would know nothing about other than reading about in tech magazines.
What have you been able to accomplish at Do Space?
I have uninterrupted time to study and I can print off anything that I need to anytime.
How does Do Space empower you to grow either individually or grow your company?
Individually it has given me the ability to go back to school and use technology that I would not ever otherwise be able to use or even see.
