Reserve Equipment - Do Space

Attention: With our re-opening on June 15, 2020 access to the 3D Lab is limited to one person at a time and staff will be unable to provide assistance. Available equipment has a “book equipment” button below. On the booking page you will be able to book the whole lab as opposed to an individual piece of equipment. If you have any questions please give us a call at 402-819-4022.

Do Space makes certain high-demand equipment available to the public on a reservable basis. Do Space members may submit an advance equipment reservation request for the equipment listed below. Equipment is available in designated time blocks to ensure that all members have access to the equipment. Members must sign a Borrower Agreement before using all equipment and a Liability Waiver before using the laser cutter or 3D printer.

Carvey is a 3D carving machine that allows you to make quality objects out of a variety of materials including wood, metal and plastic. Using Carvey and our free design software, you can make your idea a reality in three easy steps. First, design your product using our software, next choose your material, then click carve. Carvey will cut your design, giving you the power of creation right from your tabletop.

Glorforge Pro

The Glowforge Pro is a powerful laser cutting and engraving machine to help take your ideas to the next level. It features a 45 watt CO2 laser, solid state cooling, a lid mounted camera for autofocus and live previews of the print bed, and a Passthrough slot so you can use infinitely long materials (Passthrough not yet available, but coming soon!) . This machine has a print bed that measures 19.5″ by 11″ and can cut materials up to 1/4″ thick.

Mayku Formbox

Vacuform has many potential applications for hobbyists and entrepreneurs alike. The most common use is making custom molds for everything from plaster casting to chocolate making. It can also be used to create custom plastic shells for different kinds of crafts or custom packaging. Sculpt or 3D print a form, put it on the bed of the Formbox, heat a sheet of plastic, and push down on the handles to bring your creativity to life!

NextEngine 3D Scanner

The NextEngine 3D scanner can scan an object and create a 3D model of that object. From there you can export an OBJ file and edit it in something like Solidworks or Blender or you can export an STL for 3D printing.

Taz Pro

The Taz Pro features two active-lifting hot ends, meaning you now have the ability to print in two colors or materials at one time! It uses hardened steel components, meaning it can use more abrasive materials than a standard out-of-the-box 3D printers. Both rigid and flexible filaments can be used without the need to change tool heads. In addition to the dual-extrusion, the Taz Pro has a full color touchscreen LCD for easy control of the printer when not connected to a computer. It also is fully auto calibrating! This printer calibrates it’s 3 axes every time you start a print to give you the best results.


The desktop VLS2.30 is a compact and economical platform designed to be an entry level laser machine for starting your laser material processing business. It is well suited to prototype development and on-demand production and also makes a capable second machine to handle production overflow. The VLS2.30 also offers a material processing envelope of 16″ x 12″ x 4″, 768 in3. This laser cutter is available for checkout on a first-come, first-served basis, and/or is available for advance reservation.
