Are you in the job market? Looking for a new career, or possibly looking for your first job? Are you interested in technology, but don't know how to break into the industry? Join us for this workshop, which will cover several career possibilities and what you need to know to get started on your new path!
Please bring a phone, laptop, tablet, or other device with you, if you have one. If you do not have a device of your own, please do bring your email password so you can follow along with the instructor.
Class Description: This module provides participants with basic knowledge and understanding of tech careers as defined by AIM Institute. These IT categories are Infrastructure, Support/Operations, Data, Coding, and Design.
Target Audience: This workshop is for participants who have basic computer skills and an interest in expanding their knowledge and/or pursuing a tech career.
Class Goal: The goal of this course is to “demystify” the different IT careers by providing clear definitions of the five areas of tech.
Class Objectives: Participants will come out of this class with an understanding of each career and the requirements needed to obtain one or more of these careers in tech as well as concepts that are fundamental to IT
