Do Space offers a variety of opportunities for volunteering and contributing to the success of our organization. Volunteer roles range from assisting with programs to providing high-level tech expertise to those that need it. We strive to be a welcoming environment for the community to participate in the organization’s mission.

The Do Space Mentor position is ideal for people with specialized skills that are looking for a way to give back to the Omaha community. Mentors are technology tutors for the Do Space community and are crucial to the success of Do Space by giving us the ability to answer virtually any tech question.

Mentors meet with Do Space members to assist in jump-starting a project or skill for a one-on-one meeting.
•
Mentors are asked to have at least four available hours per month. This position is very flexible and perfect for those with limited availability.
•
3D Gurus get the opportunity to study and learn our equipment in the 3D lab.
•
As a 3D Guru, you'll help the community members to learn how to use the equipment and complete their own projects.
•
The 3D Guru position is ideal for people with general tech skills and “go getters” willing to search for the answers.
•
Do Space Explorers are important to the enrichment of our youth and adult programs by providing guidance to our members as they learn something new. Explorers make our programs fun!
•
Explorers assist with Do Space programs such as Cyber Seniors and youth programs, acting as an assistant educator and/or event assistant Explorers are vital to the success of our programs and are asked to attend each time the program meets.

Cyber Senior and Tech Help volunteers make themselves available to the public on Wednesday mornings from 9am-noon and Saturday afternoons from 11pm-1pm to answer basic tech questions.
•
Both of these programs are volunteer-led at Do Space and give volunteers the opportunity to help people and in a relaxed, stress-free, environment.

Volunteer status is pending until application is reviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator and training is complete
